Who wouldn’t want to watch some of South Africa’s top athletes and adventurers tell their stories? With this in mind, Action Gear, a leading online sports technology retailer, is excited to announce the launch of its very own digital TV channel, ActionGear.TV (www.actiongear.tv).

Action Gear’s fun-loving adventurists take to the web to showcase the South African adventure industry and the products that make them THAT MUCH BETTER! In episode 1, Nick de Wit talks about his journey to becoming a Pro Freestyle MX rider and the upcoming Red Bull X-Fighters plus we take an in depth look at the GoPro and share our tips and tricks after using it for over 6 years!

Commenting on the launch, Founder and MD of Action Gear, WarrickKernes said “To keep up with international digital trends such as Netflix, we decided to launch our own digital television channel that will provide a platform to expose exceptional South Africans and their adventures as well as discuss the latest sporting technologies which is a passion of ours at Action Gear.”

With the help of Brand TV Media Network (PTY) Ltd),ActionGear.TV aims to be the meeting place for the outdoor enthusiast, adventurer and gadget fanatic. Each episode is around 8 minutes long and viewers can choose what sections of the episode they would prefer watching like the athlete interview or product review. New episodes will hit the platform every week.

Some of the extraordinary people featured on ActionGear.TV include, Saray Khumalo, who attempted to climb Mt. Everest when an avalanche killed 16 sherpas; Nick de Wit, Red Bull motorcross freestyle rider; Louie Greeff, who will be attempting to swim the entire length of the Zambezi River and many more local adventure heroes.
