Golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play at the world-class De Zalze Golf Estate as part of the 2014 Stellenbosch Wine Festival presented by Pick n Pay. The Grape Golf Challenge will take place on Thursday, 30 January, and players can look forward to a fun-filled day of golf and wine in the spectacular setting of Stellenbosch.

Bookings are now open at R10 000 per four-ball. All entry fees will go directly to the Stellenbosch Foundation, the official festival charity. The funds are utilised for bursaries for underprivileged young students, whose parents work within the wine industry.

The challenge will be played as a four-ball Alliance and the field will be limited to 120 players. Several wine estates will present tastings at various holes during the day. Loads of fabulous prizes will be up for grabs during the prize-giving ceremony and cocktail party.

The ten-day wine spectacular runs from 24 January to 2 February 2014 and includes a harvest parade, a street fest in the historic Church Street, speciality tastings and tours, cultivar showcases, dine in the vine encounters, art exhibitions, special events as well as winery experiences and restaurant promotions. The festival culminates in a three-day wine expo at Die Braak in the centre of town.
