Wheelchair Tennis SA (WTSA) would like to wish all our players, sponsors, supporters, media and all South Africans a blessed and prosperous festive season. Thank you for all your dedication, commitment and support during a successful and blessed 2013.

Wheelchair Tennis South Africa and its players had a phenomenal and rewarding 2013; laying the foundation for a bright new and successful 2014. Our game Sponsor, Airports Company South Africa, has contributed immensely to the continued success and development of Wheelchair Tennis in South Africa and together we look forward to building on the achievements of 2013.

History was made in 2013 when Lucas Sithole became the 1st African and South African to win 1st a Super Series at the British Open in July and in September again cemented his name in the history books by being the 1st African and South African to win a Grand Slam US Open title. Lucas Sithole said: “I would like to encourage all to go out and make their dreams come true. Never give up; my motto is nothing is impossible, that's why I try.”

As our nation mourns the passing of our former president and iconic leader Nelson Mandela, we remember a life lived with inspiration, forgiveness, respect and admiration for each individual. Thank you Nelson Madiba Mandela for living and leaving us a legacy of hope to endure, respect for all mankind and to live our dreams, to be better people. We salute you and raise our flags in gratitude for your remarkable contribution to our nation and the world.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our players and sponsors, Airports Company South Africa, the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund, and Sports and Recreation South Africa, for their support and commitment.
