Enthusiastic volunteers who assist in enhancing a visitor’s experience in the aquarium, presenting marine courses or guiding school groups are valued members of the uShaka Sea World team.

If this sounds like something that interests you, we are looking to expand the volunteer group. All we require is that you are between 18 and 66 years old, have a passion for marine conservation, free time during the week or weekend, can get to uShaka Sea World easily and are prepared to work for no salary.

During January and February the NPC Sea World Education Centre will be accepting applications for new volunteers to work as Education Guides. No academic qualifications, biological or educational experience is necessary as you will receive comprehensive training. We need your enthusiasm for the sea and ability to communicate with people of all ages. Speakers of all languages are welcome, although fluency in English is essential.

Presentations will be held on Friday 24th January 2014 at 11h00 and on Tuesday 28th January 2014 at 18h00 at the uShaka Sea World Education Centre based at uShaka Marine World.
