Right in the heart of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, fans of rugby will find a sporting museum that tells the history of South Africa through the eyes of rugby, from the 1860s right up to modern times. The Springbok Experience was nominated for an International award in the 2014 Museum + Heritage Awards in the UK.

The interactive rugby museum is an ideal visit for locals, international touring groups and family outings, as well as schools and sporting groups - rugby, cricket, cycling, athletics, hockey, tennis, swimming, netball teams etc. visiting Cape Town. This modern interactive rugby museum with 65 audio visual screens is a must-do attraction when in Cape Town. The Springbok Experience Shop is a dedicated flagship SA Rugby/ Springbok retail store located at the Springbok Experience Rugby Museum. The Shop caters for young and old and features an extensive range of Springbok-branded clothing, accessories, memorabilia and gifts. Popular ranges include the official Springbok supporters jerseys, the SA Rugby "Lifestyle" range of fashion wear, and the "Bokkie" range of children's clothing and merchandise. Gift vouchers for shop and museum available for family, friends, colleagues or prizes.

The museum is open 7 days a week from 10h00 until 18h00, with last entry at 17h30 – extended trading hours can be arranged for large groups by prior arrangement. Discounted rates are applicable for pre-arranged and pre-paid bookings of 20 or more in a group.
