Choose between a 15km true mountain run, an intermediate route of 7km that is suitable for newbies and road runners (no serious climbs but you will be challenged). Both runs offer stunning grassland singletrack running with amazing views of the Berg on the horizon.
Entrants in the 15km need to be fit and experienced enough for a serious ascent of White Mountain (up, up, and up, all the way to the highest point). This long distance is just for experienced technical terrain runners, not walkers, as you won’t make prizegiving if you plan on walking the whole way. Then you speed on your way back down on the same course, blitzing a rocky, technical trail that requires caution, but will produce exhilaration. The road run equivalent is in the region of 25km, effort-wise. If you suffer from vertigo and a fear of heights, this is not a run for you. There are two short exposed sections of rock getting to the top that require brief moments of rock-hugging.
