Moolmanshoek Game Reserve
One of the most infamous mountain races on the SA trail running calendar is just around the corner. The Powertraveller 4 Peaks takes place September 26th in the beautiful Moolmanshoek game reserve along the Maloti Route in the eastern Free State. The 24km mountain challenge incorporates four lung busting peaks, with excruciating ascents & descents that form a horse shoe shape, enclosing the picturesque Moolmanshoek Reserve. Preparation is a must for this race as the terrain in not for the faint hearted, the route is unmarked & unsupported. Participants must be capable navigators & carry the strict equipment inventory under their own steam.
Powertraveller are confirmed as the title sponsor for the second consecutive year. A wide range of high end portable power solutions will be available to participants for purchase, which is valuable as the average race duration can be anywhere between 3 and 9 hours.
