Canal Walk will be transforming its Centre Court into a magical children’s theatre again this winter school holiday as Fred Abrahamse & Marcel Meyer present Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, a beautiful and magical adaptation of the Brothers Grimm timeless classic.

The Snow White production features some of South Africa’s brightest young musical theatre stars. Leading the company is Joanna Abatzoglou in the title role of Snow White. Miss Abatzoglou’s recent theatre appearances include featured roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express at the Joburg Theatre and the role of the Ushertte in the Fugard Theatre’s smash hit season of The Rocky Horror Show.

Nacia Kruger stars as the Evil Queen Grimhilde. Miss Kruger has appeared in countless musicals and pantomimes across South Africa, including the international tour of Cape Town Opera’s Show Boat.

Kyle Jardine plays the tall, dark and handsome Prince Charming. Mr. Jardine has just completed the recent season of Cabaret at the Fugard Theatre and played the March Hare in last year’s sell-out season of Alice in Wonderland at Canal Walk.

This fairytale has all the ingredients that make for a visual spectacular, with the combination of a beautiful princess, a charming prince, an evil queen, a magical mirror and seven adorable dwarfs all brought to life with breathtaking sets, magnificent costumes and sweet songs.

The Snow White tale is sure to mesmerise even the most hyperactive of little bodies. What better opportunity to relive your childhood than to experience it with your children at this musical spectacular?

This family musical will run from Saturday, 27 June to Sunday, 19 July at the Canal Walk Theatre, located at the Centre Court at Canal Walk.

Tickets can be booked through Computicket at R75 each. Shows will be presented at 11am, 12:30pm and 2pm Tuesday to Sunday.
