THIS IS IT. The festival that Cape Town has been waiting for. On 26 September 2015, Dolphin Beach will come alive with performances by top South African artists, a wide variety of beach activities, water sports, kids’ fun and much, much more – as Cape Town hosts the first ever Blouberg Festival!
Big headline acts for the event will include Mi Casa and Pascal & Pearce, as well as the likes of The Kiffness and Gangs of Ballet. Volleyball SA will be keeping the festivalgoers thoroughly entertained on the beach, while Psychedelic Theatre ignites the stage with a world-class performance.
The Blouberg Festival will be jam-packed with everything and anything that one could possibly expect – the event is sure to give Captonians’ summer a kick-start like never before. Local crafters will be exhibiting their finest work, and some of the city’s trendiest food trucks will be lined up along the beachfront to keep festivalgoers fuelled and energised throughout the day.
Hosted on the magnificent blue flag awarded Dolphin Beach, the Blouberg Festival will unfold against the backdrop of the world-renowned Table Mountain and historical Robben Island. The main aim of the event is to promote community pride and unity, while celebrating and showcasing what Bloubergstrand and Cape Town have to offer.
