Big 5 Challenge a Great Success!

The Pick 'n Pay KNYSNA Oyster Festival once again presented that ultimate multi-sport adventure – theBIG 5 CHALLENGE - during the annual festivities held in Knysna over ten fun-filled days. TheBIG 5 CHALLENGE saw athletes cycling, mountain biking, running(on trail and the road) and paddling in a competition including five of the six key sporting events.

The final showdown came courtesy of the annual Forest Marathon, with competitors able to choose between the Half- or Full distances. There were no huge surprises and the BIG 5 standingspost-XTERRA remained very much as is. Carla van Huyssteen proved too strong to dethrone in the Women's field, and led home Marilyn Fisher and Candice Davison.Stuart Maraisonce again returned to the top of the podiumin the Men's Category, flanked by the ever-green Kent Horner and a resurgent Matt Trautman.
