Atlantic Yachting RYA and SAS Sailing School is running a competition at this weekend’s Johannesburg Boat Show, with a sailing course worth R6 200 and a two-day skippered charter worth R9 600 up for grabs.

The Atlantic Yachting Sailing School, which operates from the Club Mykonos Private Resort at Langebaan Lagoon in the Western Cape will be running the competition from its stand at the Johannesburg Boat Show, which is being held at the Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec, from this Thursday (August 8) to Sunday (August 11).

The yachting school does all its training at Langebaan Lagoon, which boasts the only RYA- exam accredited waters in South Africa.

All courses run by Atlantic Yachting RYA and SAS Sailing School are locally and internationally recognised. The training is all done on the school’s 3 L34 yachts which are maintained in immaculate condition.

The school’s aim is to teach people how to sail locally, or to become an elite crew member on board an International Super Yacht. Atlantic Yachting also offers skippered charters, team building and motor boat courses.

The school’s competition to win one of their practical courses is valued conservatively at R6 200, depending on the lucky-draw winner’s level of experience. An additional prize of a two-day Skippered Charter for four people is also on offer, and valued at R9 600.
