Quicksnow 2013 - SA National Snowboard Champs

02/08/2013 - 04/08/2013

2 - 4 August 2013 - QUIKSNOW 10 YEARS - Africa’s biggest freestyle snowboard competition is back for its 10 year anniversary! Quiksnow National Snowboard Champs, with the help of primary sponsor Quiksilver, is set to rock the slopes of Afriski Ski and Mountain Resort in Lesotho with some of the biggest names in local snowboarding.

The newly named Kapoko Park will play host to what’s set to be the biggest and best snowboarding event that Africa has ever seen! With massive talent on show in the four main categories – Mens Slopestyle, Ladies Slopestyle, Junior Slopestyle and Freestyle Skiing – the competition is heating up for the title of Africas best snowboarder.

Africa might not be known for snow, but with the exceptionally good slope conditions in the heart of the Maluti’s, Afriski has managed to capture the hearts of local and international ski and snowboard fanatics, with some massive names having graced its slopes. And that’s exactly what the snowsports community has come to expect from Quiksnow. Riders like Luke Dutton, Dean van Greunen and Andrew Le Roux have been blowing minds in the past year with their hair-raising tricks and exceptional riding styles, and are hot favourites for the Podium.

The competition kicks off on Friday 2 August, with the finals taking place on Saturday. Gondola Café will be hosting the Quiksnow pre and after parties with the likes of Jack Parrow and City Bowl Misers.
