Marthinus Esmeyer

Growing up on a farm in the Stormberg mountains of the Eastern Cape, my outdoor life started early, doing my first overnight mountaineering trip at age 6. Since then I was hooked into extreme sports and outdoor life and have spent my lifetime exploring using whatever means necessary to experience the beauty of nature and push my own limits. My main focus areas being mountain biking, white-water kayaking, mountaineering, canyoneering and rock climbing. My passion for the outdoors led to my degree in conservation and then a professional career in mountain biking, which enabled me to see the world. The last three years , my racing has taken a back seat to build up my adventure guiding business where I facilitate personalised adventure experiences for clients. To summarise , I spend my life out there on a daily basis - I would never make it in an office environment.
