Dew Tour Bootcamp Set to Amaze Students with Action Sports Roadshow

This April, some of South Africa’s finest tertiary education institutes will play host to the Dew Tour Bootcamp. This electrifying and adrenaline pumping series of action sports events will showcase some of the country’s finest skate and BMX athletes. The tour will take place from April 23rd to May 8th 2013.

The Dew Tour Bootcamp, which is a first in South Africa, will see an impressive collection of professional action sport athletes travelling around the country, to entertain and educate fans looking to get into action sports. The Dew Tour Bootcamp will visit universities including the University of Pretoria, Varsity College Sandton, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, University of Cape Town and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as the Durban Beachfront Skate Park. Graffiti artists will be present during the events, creating incredible art works which one lucky fan will walk away with. The power of social media will come into play with the Mountain Dew Tweet Hop which will give fans the chance to challenge BMX’ers , while they jump over a raised bar: the more tweets received, the higher the bar will be raised.

Amateurs will be encouraged to bring along their own skateboards and BMX bikes to learn the basics from the pros. There will be a registration process at 10h00am on each day before the event begins. Ice cold Mountain Dew will be handed out throughout the bootcamp to ensure that attendees are refreshed during this one of a kind event.

Top notch riders including Adam Woolf, David Rigby, Khule Ngubane, Malcolm Peters and Stuart Loudon will be showcasing their skills and sharing their expertise with anyone who wants to learn the nuances of skate and BMX.

Stretch Experiential Marketing Owner Mike Silver says, “We are very excited to bring Action Sports to enthusiasts around the country. This is the first ever action sports tour South Africa has ever seen and we look forward to growing the Dew Tour Bootcamp following year on year!”
